We are a fast growing, venture capital backed food brand based in London hiring for roles with ample opportunities to build, learn, and grow. The team is composed of experienced operators with backgrounds in building long lasting F&B concepts as well as high scale tech ventures. 

 

The Role

 

We are looking for a dynamic and self-starter individual to join our team as a Commercial Manager to look after grocery retail and foodservice accounts. Our business is growing fast in multiple verticals, hence requiring agility, analytic acumen, and strategic thinking to deliver results both for our business and to customers.

the role

  • Own the relationship with grocery retailers and foodservice partners to deliver results against their requirements;

 

  • Develop successful, long-term, and strategic relationships across the business;

 

  • Build and monitor the full customer P&L to continuously measure and exceed goals;

 

  • Explore growth opportunities within your accounts whilst keeping your business informed about the competition;

 

  • Assess and review the current KPIs, and dive into the ‘why’ in order to ensure they provide actionable value to the business;

 

  • Leverage data and category insight to identify gaps within customers’ range and continuously improve selection;

 

  • Work cross functionally with marketing team to plan activations;

 

  • Plan, arrange, and review promotional activity for each of your customers;

 

  • Manage day-to-day account admin work such as invoicing, accruals, and customer onboarding;

 

  • Deliver internal reporting for the commercial and the leadership teams.

 

job qualifications

  • Experience of 3+ years in a multinational FMCG company or top 4 UK grocery retailer

 

  • Passion for food and a shared vision to deliver an exceptional service to customers

 

  • Commercial acumen to build and understand P&L to make strategic decisions and drive top and bottom line growth

 

  • Familiarity with grocery sales processes and exceptional negotiation skills

 

  • Perform great people skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes

 

  • Dynamic and presents a “can do” approach to move the business forward whilst wearing multiple hats to cater for different customers’ needs.

 

  • Thrives in a close-knit team environment
