Behind the Scenes: Showcasing Julienne Bruno at Harvey & Brockless’ Meet the Makers
At Julienne Bruno, one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do is sharing our collection with the people who bring food to life: chefs, retailers, buyers and makers.
This week we had the pleasure of attending the annual Meet the Makers event hosted by our foodservice partner Harvey & Brockless, a day dedicated to sampling, connection and culinary discovery.
Held exclusively for Harvey & Brockless’ extensive customer network, the event was a fantastic opportunity to introduce our dairy free collection to chefs, delis and foodservice professionals from across the UK. We showcased our full range including SUPERSTRACCIA, BURRELLA and our newest launch MOZZAFIORE PEARLS.
Winning Over the Toughest Critics
One of the highlights was when a well known Italian mozzarella producer visited our stand. Let’s just say he didn’t arrive with an open mind. The concept of dairy free cheese inspired by Italian classics didn’t sit well with him at first.
But after a bit of charm and encouragement, he agreed to try a spoonful.
Within seconds, his scepticism turned into surprise. The change in his expression from doubt to delight was priceless. That moment of transformation is what we live for — creating products that challenge expectations and spark genuine reactions.
Later in the day, a French dairy producer fell head over heels for our Superstraccia, asking to take a full 1kg tub home on the Eurostar. We were more than happy to oblige.
